Simultaneous Variations is an album of improvised music with the duo of Esther Lamneck, and Rob Tomaro. It is available online through popular streaming platforms (Spotify, AppleMusic, Deezer, and many others) via Wassard Elea’s RM Electro label.

Esther Lamneck, Clarinet and Tárogató The New York Times calls Esther Lamneck, “an astonishing virtuoso”. She has appeared as a soloist with major orchestras, with conductors such as Pierre Boulez, with renowned chamber music artists and an international roster of musicians from the new music improvisation scene. A versatile performer and an advocate of contemporary music, she is known for her work with electronic media including interactive arts, movement, dance and improvisation. Dr. Lamneck served for more than three decades, as full-time professor at NYU, Steinhardt and artistic director of the NYUNME. She makes frequent solo appearances on clarinet and the tárogató at music festivals worldwide. Robert Tomaro graduated from Northwestern University in 1973 with a degree in Theater, but soon turned his attention to honing his jazz guitar skills. He went on to receive a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in music composition and conducting from New York University, where he began his collaboration as a guitarist with Esther Lamneck. He has appeared in concert with jazz greats such as Charles Mingus, Bill Evans, and Stephane Grapelli. He has performed in the orchestras of the original Broadway productions of The Lion King, Les Miserables, Evita, Barnum, The Who’s Tommy, and I Love My Wife, and has toured with Esther throughout Europe and Scandinavia for NYU. He has conducted The London Symphony Orchestra, The Slovak Radio Orchestra, The Silesian Philharmonic, The Black Sea Philharmonic, The Moravian Philharmonic, The Crakow Sinfonietta, and orchestras throughout the United States.
