The Belgian virtuoso cellist Nicolas Deletaille enjoyed a residency at Wassard Elea most recently in 2023, and had previously had a residency and touring concert series together with pianist Alain Roudier and composer René Mogensen in the Cilento, Southern Italy during 2010.
Nicolas Deletaille is an active performer, engaged in concert-touring around the world. Since 2012 he has also been directing the chamber music concert series Concerts intimes “Le Temps Retrouvé”. The series is presented in a uniquely inviting space in Herbaimont, which is in the Belgium Ardennes countryside. The next concert is next week on Sunday, June 28, 2026 at 4pm, entitled Le Temps Retrouvé Guillaume Lekeu.

Nicolas Deletaille has given more than 100 world premieres, many of which were of works composed for him. Among these are several new compositions for arpeggione, representing his effort to enhance the arpeggione repertoire. Several new works composed by René Mogensen for arpeggione are included on the album The New Arpeggione: Walls of Nicosia which is available as a download, physical CD and from streaming services world-wide. The distinguised pianist and organologist Alain Roudier performed on the Conrad Graf 1828 fortepiano in Mogensen’s composition Sonata Neo-Schubert for arpeggion, fortepiano and computer, also on the album The New Arpeggione: Walls of Nicosia.


René Mogensen’s large-scale work All Numbers Language for Cello with interactive computer music and video was premiered by Nicolas Deletaille in Gent Belgium, and this 2006 concert is documented on a video DVD as well as an audio album on streaming services world-wide.
